My services

Unlike the companies of yesteryear, today's companies have many new factors they must consider when planning their marketing strategy.  Enter Digital Brand Management.  With brand promotion now taking place across multiple diverse channels and platforms, companies MUST have a strong brand value proposition.  This requires bold, vibrant messaging.

Inconsistency can negatively impact your branding. At best, inconsistency makes your brand unmemorable. At worst, it can create a reputation of confusion and apathy.

Case studies have shown that the most successful brands interact with customers on an individualized, personal basis via digital platforms.  What this means is that companies must have a deep understanding of how their customers interact online.  Otherwise, they will leave their customers with an unsatisfactory brand experience.  Social analytics can offer a wealth of information on consumer behavior and how they engage digitally with your brand - and with your competitors.

Technology and social media are constantly evolving on the digital landscape.   It is critical for companies to stay agile and adaptable in order to meet the changing wants and needs of their consumers.  This is where a digital brand manager comes.  Understanding the changing digital landscape and knowing how to implement marketing plans that adapt is what I do.

Market Assessment

Do you understand the market in which you compete?  I will perform a full market assessment, including audience persona development/audience analysis and exploring your consumer journey.  We will create or align touchpoints in your consumer journey to create your sales funnel and better meet the way your customer's approach their decision making.

Persona Development

Personas are developed to represent your typical customers and are used in your marketing strategy.  These representations provide a model of storylines for your various customer groups, telling us who they are, what they do, why they engage with your brand - and why they don't.

Customer Journey

The customer journey mapping helps to understand when and through which channels we can best reach your particular customers.  The customer journey explores how customers consider, evaluate, and purchase products/services like yours.  It also explores how the customer prefers to be marketed to (push vs. pull marketing) for these types of purchases and how that might change over time.

Sales Funnel

Many customers get 60% of the way through the buying process before they want to talk to anyone.  It is imperative that brands have the appropriate interactive pull communication funnel in place to attract your customers at each stage of the buying process.

As the primary focal point of your digital brand, your website is just as important to your brand as a resume is for a prospective employee.  Marketing plans that are designed around a strong, well-developed website perform the best.  All digital channels lead to your website, it should engage and convert your customers.

Your website needs to not only be a beautiful reflection of your brand, it also must be a functional powerhouse.  Without the appropriate content, SEO, and optimization, your site won't rank in organic searches, ie, it won't show on page 1 of Google...and likely not on page 2, 3 or 4 either.  User Experience is also a key factor in converting visitors to customers.  If a visitor has a bad experience on your website, you likely just lost a potential customer.

As the hub of your digital marketing plan, you need a website that is consistent in look, feel and purpose with your other marketing efforts.  It must engage and educate while providing a great user experience.  It must be optimized for all the ever-changing search engine algorithms, have great SEO, be responsive, improve conversion rates...and the list goes on.  Sound like a lot?  Don't worry, it's what I do!

Brochure Sites

Brochure sites inform and educate.  Most business websites are brochure sites.  Your website will have seamless integration with all your digital assets, including social media, CRM applications, email marketing systems, and analytic applications.

Dynamic Sites

Dynamic websites are interactive and function more like applications.  They can allow the user to perform activities and get results that are specific to them.  For example, the ability to search for homes on a REALTOR/Broker website, or a membership website that allows members to track their own statistics.

Have a product or products that you want to sell online?  Want to be able to allow your customers to book and pay for a service online?  I can help you with that.

Social Media has become one of the leading tools for promoting brands and reaching potential customers.  A major portion of any successful and sustainable digital marketing strategy will require strongly leveraging social media.  As with any marketing effort, successful brand management requires consistency.  It is how your brand remains memorable.

Social media can strengthen many of your marketing goals when managed correctly -  or weaken them when not.  Social media channels allow you to get up close and personal with your customers.  Social media sites give you instant access to both positive and negative feedback allowing you to respond to a problem immediately.  When you stay in front of your customers, as social media allows you to do, they are more likely to do business with you.  Social media also makes your business easier to access and more visible for new customers while increasing brand loyalty among your existing customers.  It has been proven that companies who engage with their customers on social media experience higher levels of brand loyalty.

Sounds like a lot, huh?  Having your own social media manager on staff can easily cost more than $50,000.  And trying to do it all yourself takes away from doing what you love - your business.  That's where I come in.  I and my partner at Forefront Digital Media will craft and manage your social media plan.

Whether part of an overall digital media campaign or as a stand-alone service, your social media marketing requires a strategy that will bring results.

Good social media requires more than posting interesting memes.  All your content should have a purpose, goal, and outcome.  It should engage and educate - and most of all - bring you business!

Social media advertising is proving to be one of the most effective advertising mediums available.  Social media channels like Facebook and LinkedIn have some of the most comprehensive demographics on their users.  This allows advertisers to pinpoint target specific audiences.

What is Digital Brand Management

Digital Brand Management is the process of managing the perceptions of consumers who encounter your brand online. It takes traditional brand management principles and uses them to drive customer experiences across digital channels. It encompasses everything from your website and blog, to social media accounts, 3rd party publishers, and more. It focuses on direct customer interaction and seeks to engage customers in a conversation about the brand. It gives your customers a voice.

We already have a company website, why talk to you?

Your website is the hub of your online marketing efforts. Even if you already have a successful marketing plan in place, your website needs to stay current and meet the challenges of today’s market. The digital landscape changes almost daily, and it can sometimes be hard to keep up with. I will ensure that your most important digital asset keeps up with the times.

What platform do you develop your websites on?

I use WordPress for the majority of my website implementations. Why? Because it is fast to develop, it is rock solid on performance, and it has unlimited design potentials. This allows me to give my clients what they want, with great performance, and at the best possible price.

I'm not a large company, why is brand management important for me?

Small businesses have to compete with national brands for business. But small businesses have nowhere near the marketing budget that national brands have. Small business can best compete using online marketing. A company will never gain new online customers and will have less in-person customers if the business does not have a strong online presence. Consumer expectations have changed. When someone hears of a new business, the first thing they do is look them up online. They check out the website and the businesses social media presence. If there is not much of a presence, the business is considered to be “less than professional”. People now expect businesses to have a robust online presence.

What is Reputation Management and does my company need it?

Most people are not quite sure what reputation management really is. Some think it’s public relations, some think it’s just monitoring social media. Still others think it is responding to online reviews. There are many misconceptions about reputation management. Good online reputation management is not only about reacting well to what people say about you, your brand, or your products and services, but also about whether to react at all and, if so, when. Sometimes a reaction is not necessary, and sometimes a reaction that is too late can cost you. The goals of reputation management are to become reputable, to be transparent, to monitor what is said about you, to react quickly and appropriately, to positively address criticism, and to learn from your mistakes.

So basically, yes, you need reputation management. Every business does.

I would love to have you do everything, but I'm limited by budget. Where do I start?

The starting point is going to be different for everyone. Let’s have a consultation and go over your business, see what your biggest needs are and tackle things from there.
